[About]
Founded by Ava Rettke and Magen Mattox
June Third Productions is an independent production company creating films and series that blur the line between the intimate and the extraordinary. Rooted in character, culture, and emotional honesty, our work explores the intersections of folklore, memory, and modern life; stories that feel both familiar and hauntingly new. Our projects span film, television, and digital platforms, united by one vision: to champion original voices and distinctive perspectives, crafting cinematic experiences meant to spark conversation and linger long after the credits roll.

Ava’s path in film began in San Francisco and New York before leading her to Los Angeles, where she became the youngest executive at ESX Entertainment. She has produced more than a dozen projects that have reached audiences on Netflix, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime Video, with support from studios such as Warner Bros and Lionsgate. Her work is guided by a belief in stories that feel lived-in and human, where underrepresented voices are not just included but centered, and by a commitment to telling them with honesty, texture, and heart.

Magen brings over a fifteen years of experience in marketing, brand building, and digital storytelling. A Los Angeles–based creative director and producer, she has collaborated with top-tier brands such as Free People, Halcyon Studios, and Village Roadshow, and played a pivotal role in projects for the Stanley Kubrick Estate with luxury brand Jacques Marie Mage. Her refined creative sensibility, shaped by a robust acting background and recognition from industry publications for directing, ensures that every project is not only visually and emotionally engaging but also strategically positioned for success in today’s digital landscape.

Jessica Ozette’s eye for atmosphere and story took root in the damp forests and misty harbors of the Pacific Northwest, then sharpened across fifteen years as a creative consultant, photographer, producer, and brand strategist in LA. Her work has spanned campaigns and identities for brands including Acne Studios, Flos, and Miu Miu, collaborations with artists Laurel Thoma, Juliet Johnstone, and Ana Luisa Corrigan, and creative partnerships with founders Jessie Andrews and Courtney Trop. At June Third, she brings an instinct for worldbuilding to development, helping uncover the emotional core of an idea and shape the creative foundation that turns it into a lasting story.

Elizabeth “Easten” Treadwell brings more than fifteen years of experience shaping stories for television, and digital platforms. Throughout her career, she has contributed to some of the most recognizable unscripted series of the past decade, with editing credits spanning Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, CBS, MTV, TLC, and E!. Her work is rooted in uncovering the emotional core of a story, transforming raw footage into compelling narratives that feel both authentic and deeply engaging. Beyond television, Easten has built a parallel career in digital marketing and audience engagement, leading social media strategy, content creation, and brand marketing for arts organizations, live events, and lifestyle brands. Her work blends a storyteller’s instinct with a marketer’s perspective, creating campaigns that strengthen brand identity, foster community, and drive meaningful audience connection. Drawn to stories that are emotionally honest, and visually rich, Easten approaches every project with curiosity, empathy, and a belief that the most memorable storytelling lives in the details.
Becca brings a dynamic blend of writing and producing expertise to June Third Productions. With roots in live comedy, she produced numerous scripted comedy podcast shows at iconic venues including NerdMelt, UCB, and The Improv. Her development projects focus on cultivating fresh voices and bold comedic perspectives. An award-winning filmmaker, her feature The Prank, starring the legendary Rita Moreno, premiered at SXSW 2021 and saw a theatrical release in 2022. Becca previously served as Director of Creative Development at XRM Productions, where she guided diverse projects from concept to screen. She has also been a champion of female-driven storytelling, producing acclaimed indie films such as Dick Bunny, 1 in the Chamber, and Any Sign at All. Passionate about discovering talent and shaping stories that will entertain audiences, Becca continues to build innovative, boundary-pushing comedy for the screen.
